Moving with small pets
Small pets such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea
pigs and mice can usually be transported
in their regular cages. Ensure that the covers
are secure for the trip, and that no open
containers of water are in the cage that
might spill during the travels. Do not place
the cage in an area that will be exposed
to drafts or direct sunlight. Maintain a
temperature in the vehicle that won’t
be too hot or too cold for your small pets.
Feed your small pets according to their usual
schedule during the trip.
