Pets and your new community
In your new community, different regulations
and restrictions may be in place regarding
pets. It is important that you become aware
of these prior to arriving. If you are moving
to an apartment complex or condominium, pets
may not even be allowed, so discuss this
with your rental agent or realtor.
On the other hand, your new community may
have special amenities to accommodate its
residents many pets. Some areas have dog
parks that allow dogs to run free and leashless,
with ample running room and plenty of other
dogs.
If you are moving to a gated community
or apartment complex, get a list of pet-related
regulations from your rental agent. There
may be limits on when and where you can walk
your dog, as well as on the number of pets
that are permitted and any additional fees
required. Learning about these prior to your
move will save you unnecessary hassle upon
arrival.
