2 weeks before your move
-If
you’ll be driving your car a long distance
for the move, have it checked and serviced now.
If your car is being transported for you, it
is also wise to have the car checked.
-Arrange to have prescription drugs transferred to a pharmacy
in your new community. Double-check that you have a sufficient
supply of medications to last you through the move.
-Back up files from your computer’s hard drive before
disconnecting your computer system, and put the files in a safe
place. Pack your electronics carefully so that they will be
protected from both temperature changes and jostling during
the move.
-Get rid of hazardous items and all other items that are not
shippable.
