Compared to the bear population, there is one bear for every twenty-one people. Native to Alaska are the Kodiak bear, the polar bear, the grizzly bear, and big as a bear, the moose. The people of Alaska are known to be extremely friendly and helpful. Do not be alarmed if a local calls you a "Cheechako." It simply means you are a newcomer to Alaska.
