Moving to Pennsylvania
The very core of American history resides in the state of Pennsylvania. Historical icons like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin immediately come to mind. One of the original thirteen colonies, it is the only colony not bordering on the Atlantic Ocean. Pennsylvania became the 2nd state in the nation on December 12, 1787. This state was named to honor Admiral William Penn and his son, William Penn, Pennsylvania's founder. With over 12 million people, Pennsylvania is the sixth most populous state.
